How does WeAreSent.com work?
Two to three times each week on WeAreSent.com, a new mission will be posted that you are challenged to acomplish. Examples of missions are:
- Meeting a new person
- Inviting a friend who doesn’t know Jesus to lunch
- Asking your waitress if you could pray for her
- Prayer-walking
- Inviting someone to church
- Sharing the Gospel with someone.
You are challenged to live out the missions each week as you live your normal life. Then tell your story in the comments section for each mission. Share the victories and let us all give God glory. Share the defeats and let us all learn from and pray for you.
There are no meetings. There is no centralized structure. There is no set time to do missions. The timing and responsibility for ministry are yours.
The Summer 2008 goal is that you, through the power of God, would lead one person to faith in Jesus before August 31, 2008. Hopefully, this will lead you to think like a missionary as you live your day-to-day life this summer.
Keep up with each new mission by subscribing to the site’s RSS feed, becoming a fan of WeAreSent.com on Facebook, or subscribing to the email list by emailing wearesent@gmail.com with subscribe in the subject line.
Our prayer is that you would develop the mindset of a missionary who is always looking for ways to bring the Kingdom of God near to people where you live, work, study, and play.
that YouVersion website is pretty sweet, I signed up
This is wonderful! I certainly will be trying to do these assignments on a daily basis as I just take care of the usual stuff. I expect God to use each of us who take the challenge to live as missionaries where we are.
It will be exciting to discover how God uses each person who get involved with WeAreSent.com Thanks for putting feet on your vision.
