We always hear about the importance of relationships. Global missionaries tell us of the importance of using the home as a way to build relationships. Yet, many times our homes can be very private places. This week’s mission is:
Host a friend or acquaintance in your home.
Here are a few suggestions of what to do:
- Lunch
- Dinner
- Coffee
- Dessert
- Play a board game
- Watch a movie
- Play cards
Just open up your home and spend time building relationships with people far from God or wandering from God. Practice hospitality. Serve them. Pray for them. Be a missionary!
Shannon and I had five friends over last Thursday for a cookout. Several of them are far from God. It had been about a month since we had seen or hung out with them. It was good to re-connect, chat, and share a meal.
