Today after my class I had an opportunity to go visit a friend I haven't seen since high school. She goes to Clemson and was doing some work in one of the Biology labs. I had been thinking about her, since I started my class this summer so I sent her a message and let her know I was on campus. She asked me to come see her, so I felt like it was the perfect opportunity for me to go. We weren't the best of friends in high school, but we always got along well and had a lot of the same interests. It was great to see her for a little bit today. Most of the conversation was spent talking about what we were doing now and school, but it was nice to reopen the friendship. As far as I know she is not a Christian and I believe she is living with her boyfriend. I pray that she and I will be able to get together every now and again and that God can use me to influence her life and lead her to Him.

I ate lunch today with a friend that I haven't seen besides my wedding in about 3 years. We were pretty close at one time (she was like a big sister to me), but because of certain situations and circumstances, we lost contact. Anyway, lunch today went really well. I really enjoyed getting to catch up and remember old times. I would really love to continue working and growing this relationship. It is my prayer and I hope that you will join with me in praying that God will continue allowing opportunies to meet with her and to really allow for open communication lines that will foster spiritual growth.

Jeni--I will certainly be praying for your reconnection with Michelle. I'm in the same boat with some of my high school friends who aren't Christians. Thank you for sharing and being responsive to God's leading.

Addie--First of all, I hope Atlanta is well. Second, are you ready for Canada. I'm so excited for you guys who are going and wish I was too. I will be praying for you as you reconnect with your frinds and cousin. Yes, Facebook counts! By initiating the contact you are being obedient and taking steps. That is a big encouragement and motivation to me as I try to do the same with some of my friends. Let us know how it goes when you get together.

mission 3 is still a work in progress, but it is in progress. i have been talking to three of my very best friends from my birth-middle school about getting together. we have all lost touch and none of us see eachother (even though one is my cousin and her parents live next door and another lives behind me). i know for sure that one of them have become very far from the Lord, and one of them was never close to begin with. i have talked to all of them but we are all going here and there and out of the country and such so we have not planned a date yet, but i have talked to them(via facebook, if that even counts) and reconencted just a little. please pray for when we do finally get together. i spent my entire childhood with two of these girls and we hardly even know eachother anymore. our lifestyles are as different as can be and they have very little interest in how i live my life.

I haven't actually done this mission yet but for the past few months God has been laying someone on my heart to reconnect with. Her name is Michelle and she went to High School with me and still lives in Concord, NC. She isn't a Christian. We were good friends in High School but have lost touch. I have been meaning to talk with her for months but have kept putting it off, for no reason. I don't know about the rest of you but I often put off doing things that aren't even hard and usually when I get around to doing those types of things, I realize that I should have done it a long time ago and there was no reason to. I'm apparently good at making excuses....please pray that I would have the right words and that He will give me an opportunity to talk to her about my faith.
